We would like to inform you that this autumn we will be moving our Warsaw library to a new location.
We will be running the library in co-operation with Biblioteka Publiczna w Dzielnicy Praga Południe at Meissnera 5, following the model we have successfully implemented in other cities around Poland. As a result, our customers will have access to wider range of services and resources, including resources in other languages, such as French, German, Russian, Spanish and Italian. Find out more.
We have extended the deadline for applications till 24 August. Find out more.
This month's cubed takes a look at an exciting new technique that mimics processes found in nature in order to develop self-repairing aeroplanes. We also discover a new way to be eco-friendly as researchers from the University of Leeds have developed a virtually waterless washing machine which could radically reduce water wastage. Finally we investigate the latest technology from Scottish-based company, Touch Bionics, who have developed the iLimb; a prosthetic device which looks and feels like a human hand.
